It feels like only yesterday you found out that you’re expecting your baby. Nine months flew by, and you welcomed your newborn into the world. A few sleepless nights, and they’re already crawling, then walking, then running. You wish you could freeze time, so they stay little and curious about everything, for a bit longer. But time doesn’t stop, and all you can do is save each memory through a photo, and revisit it weeks, months and years from now.

Newborns: Heaven Sent offers newborn sessions for babies between 5-14 days old. Sessions are held at our downtown studio. The Studio boasts a beautiful shooting space, a convenient rest room, comfortable sitting area for you to relax and watch your session, and is close to downtown restaurants and shops.


We offer a wide variety of luxury props, knits and wraps, and each session is carefully and uniquely designed to your personal style. Outfits, headbands, wraps, hats, are all provided for you. You do not need to worry about bringing anything but your new little babe!


Newborn safety is always our number one priority. Brittnie's 8 years of experience and her extensive training in handling and posing newborns will give you the peace of mind that your baby is safe in her capable hands. We are a licensed and insured professional portrait studio as well as pediatrician recommended.


Your pre-session consultation as well as our carefully prepared Sleepy Baby Tips will easily prepare us for your session. Prior to your arrival at your session, Brittnie will have everything prepared and ready to begin our photoshoot!

What’s the best time to have a session with a newborn?

It is recommended to book 2-3 months in advance to ensure your spot in my schedule. Once baby has arrived, newborn sessions take place within the first 2 weeks following birth at my studio here in Sheldon. My clients are sent my sleepy baby tips which help you prepare for your session and ensure we have a sleepy baby.

Do you provide outfits?

At Heaven Sent we provide outfits through the first year! We have many different outfits for both girls and boys, headbands, hats, props such as chairs/stools, and so much more! All images posted to our socials + website feature our client closet + prop selection. If you have any special requests please let us know!

Where are you based and do you travel?

Heaven Sent is located in dowton Sheldon, IA. It is called "The Studio". Indoor sessions take place inside the studio while outdoor sessions take place at various locations in and around Sheldon.
