FAQ

How many pictures will we receive?

My studio is a custom boutique studio meaning each session is specific to the clients needs and wants. There are no minimum order requirements. Clients have the option to choose from collections that feature albums and image boxes as well as prints and wall art. Luxurious quality you can pass down for generations.

How should we dress for our family session?

Depending on your session type and theme, we’ll discuss some ideas for outfits and colors. For newborns through the first year as well as maternity, I have lots of options to choose from. I'll ask you a few questions to understand what your families style is and do my best to choose outfits that speak to who you are as a whole. Generally I start every session by choosing three main colors. From there, we add in textures, patterns, and complementary tones to bring in depth. This is what makes my photos stand out and come to life.

What’s the best time to have a session with a newborn?

It is recommended to book 2-3 months in advance to ensure your spot in my schedule. Once baby has arrived, newborn sessions take place within the first 2 weeks following birth at my studio here in Sheldon. My clients are sent my sleepy baby tips which help you prepare for your session and ensure we have a sleepy baby.

We don’t feel very confident in front of the camera, is that ok?

Of course, no need to worry about that. Most people feel a bit anxious around the camera, and that’s completely normal. It's in my nature to be a bit of a perfectionist which truly makes all the difference in your photos. I am here to guide you every step of the way, from styling your outfits to ensuring that hair is tucked away just right, or that hand placement isn't distracting. You just have to be you, and I’ll be capturing your authentic family interactions.

What does the process look like?

Every session begins with a conversation! Fill out the contact form on this page. Include your preferences in terms of session type and style, location, etc. I’ll be in touch within 24 hours. We’ll schedule a time to meet and once all details are confirmed, we’ll sign a contract and you’ll pay your session fee. You’ll get a detailed client guide with all the tips, recommendations and things to keep in mind while preparing for your session. I’m always available for a call if you have questions. One week after your session, we will meet up for your ordering appointment where you get to see all the amazing photos and decide which images you'd like to purchase!

What if we have no idea what kind of photos we want?

As your photographer, it's my job to ask questions, get to know you, and understand who you are as a family. Your style - even if you think you don't have one. My job is to capture you, authentically. Most of my clients come to me because they don't how to pick out outfits or how to pose the best. It's not your job to know these things! It's my job to be there for you every step of the way and guide you through the entire process. You're a "model" family, you just may not know it yet!
