We offer a wide variety of luxury props, knits and wraps, and each session is carefully and uniquely designed to your personal style. Outfits, headbands, wraps, hats, are all provided for you. You do not need to worry about bringing anything but your new little babe! For family photos my personalized stylist can help assist in creating your dream photos with links to outfits for every member of the family!

Patient & Calm Environment


Newborn sessions can last anywhere from 1 hour to 2.5 hours. Having experience working with and posing newborns is essential to allowing the session to flow and get all of the images you have been dreaming of! Brittnie has photographed over 100 newborns and is well equipped with all the tools necessary to get those perfect sleepy & family photos!

High Quality


At the studio we specialize in high quality images over high quantity. At Heaven Sent, you only purchase the images you love, nothing more! We have luxury heirloom products for you to display your incredible new images in the form of both artwork and albums throughout your home. Every image purchased receives the matching digital copy as well!

The creative fee to reserve a portrait session is $300 and includes:

  • Styling consultation prior to your session to discuss colors, props, and wardrobe
  • Use of our extensive collection of props, blankets, and accessories
  • Your session appointment
  • Personal ordering appointment to view and select your portraits and art pieces
  • Preparation of selected images and hand retouching each image

It feels like only yesterday you found out that you’re expecting your baby. Nine months flew by, and you welcomed your newborn into the world. A few sleepless nights, and they’re already crawling, then walking, then running. You wish you could freeze time, so they stay little and curious about everything, for a bit longer. But time doesn’t stop, and all you can do is save each memory through a photo, and revisit it weeks, months and years from now.

What’s the best time to have a session with a newborn?

It is recommended to book 2-3 months in advance to ensure your spot in my schedule. Once baby has arrived, newborn sessions take place within the first 2 weeks following birth at my studio here in Sheldon. My clients are sent my sleepy baby tips which help you prepare for your session and ensure we have a sleepy baby.

Do you provide outfits?

At Heaven Sent we provide outfits through the first year! We have many different outfits for both girls and boys, headbands, hats, props such as chairs/stools, and so much more! All images posted to our socials + website feature our client closet + prop selection. If you have any special requests please let us know!

Where are you based and do you travel?

Heaven Sent is located in dowton Sheldon, IA. It is called "The Studio". Indoor sessions take place inside the studio while outdoor sessions take place at various locations in and around Sheldon.
